Shane Turnbull
Professional wilderness trip leader for over 30 years.
As a pioneer of many of Washington's commercial river rafting trips in the Cascade and Olympic Mountain Ranges, Shane has guided over 103,000 miles on 92 different rivers. Logging more than 2,900 trips to his professional career he continues to average 164 days on the river per year.
Shane is recognized as a highly experienced wilderness guide, one of the best teachers of professional river rafting and outdoor skills. He is well versed in the ecological, cultural and historical features of the areas he visits. His knowledge of and experience in all aspects of adventure travel and environmental education reflects his extensive training and certifications.

Adam Wicks-Arshack

Adam started his career on the lakes and rivers of Northern Ontario, Canada guiding kids from 8 to 17 years old on month long journeys into the wild bush country.
Adam is a world traveler and explorer. He has pushed boundaries in many kinds of expeditions including, rafting, canoeing, mountaineering, skiing, and climbing. He is a fully registered Washington Wilderness Guide and certified Wilderness First Responder. His eye for safety is always present.

John Zinser
Professional canoeist for over 10 years.
John has paddled 1000's of miles on Northern Ontario's lakes. As a primary trip leader for Camp Wabun on Lake Temagami, John has guided many children on his way to the Hudson Bay.
A boat builder and craftsman at heart. He is a fully registered Washington Wilderness Guide and is First Aid and CPR trained. John has what it takes to make it safely down river.

Dan Cassel

Peter "P.T." Bruno
Outdoor and Wilderness Expert
A traditionalist at heart, P.T. has the skill set for any extended trip, be it canoe journey or whitewater rafting adventure.
He has worked as backcountry ranger for North Cascades National Park, Glacier National Park, and Katmai National Park.
He is a fully registered Washington Wilderness Guide, CPR and First Aid trainer, Wilderness Fist Responder, and swift water technician.

Eliza Wicks-Arshack
Professional Canoe Guide / Environmental Educator
Eliza Wicks-Arshack is an experienced canoe guide and passionate environmental educator. Eliza developed her passion for water travel at the early age of ten when she spent her first summer in the northern woods of Ontario at Camp Wabun. Since then she has guided canoe trips for up to thirty-two days with adolescent girls through Camp Wabun, has led whitewater kayaking and a variety of outdoor trips for college students, and taught the outdoor leadership training program for the Colorado College Outdoor Recreation Club.
In her free time, Eliza enjoys the gamut of outdoor activities-whether it be rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, canyoneering or going on a hike. Eliza helped build Voyages of Rediscovery's twenty-four foot birch bark canoe in the fall of 2009 and has led several trips with Voyages since.

Always pushing the limits of filmmaking, Xander uses a style all to his own to capture incredible shots in vast landscapes.

Cooper Holcomb Schulte
Old style wood craftsman who specializes in original designs.
WEMT, and Canoeist Extraordinar.
Cooper is a talented wood worker and canoe builder. He puts all his heart and skill into the construction of many of our world famous canoes.
By mixing his passion for boat building and his hand at the stern, Cooper will get you down the river - both safely and in style. He has an eye and passion for safety and is a graduate of the Wilderness Medical Institute's (WMI) Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician course (WEMT).
Cooper is also a fully registered Washington Wilderness Guide.

Evan Leacox is well versed in the art of water travel and expedition adventure. He has worked with some of Washington's roughest white water as well as paddled great lengths on its lakes as well.
By combining his passion for photography along with his Bachelor's Degree in Outdoor education, Evan takes great pride and care in ensuring that your adventure includes fond and lasting memories of your time with Voyages of Rediscovery.
